Brighton captain Lewis Dunk was full for praise for Kaoru Mitoma and Facundo Buonanotte after their FA Cup win over Stoke City.
The skipper made his 400th appearance for Brighton on the night.
“Kaoru has got blistering pace and we are trying to get a better understanding of his timing of runs and that one came off against Stoke," Dunk told the club's website. “Hopefully I can give him many more of those passes!
“He is such a threat and a danger when he runs in behind and it shows how unselfish he was by squaring it to Evan [Ferguson] for the goal.
"I have had that [passing] ability in me. Obviously, with different managers, they have different styles of playing and beliefs but the older and wiser you get the more you can bring it out.
“I am a defender first and foremost but I have always been confident with the ball at my feet."
Argentina under-20 international Buonanotte came on as a substitute in their Premier League defeat to Fulham, before being handed his first start against Stoke.
Lewis added, “I thought Facundo was excellent. Obviously, he has played games back in Argentina in a good league.
“It was not an easy game to come into - they were always going to be tough to face - but he did himself justice."
