Brighton boss Gus Poyet has dismissed reports of leaving the job to take charge of Uruguay U20.
The former Uruguay midfielder is believed to be a leading contender for the vacant role but has pledged his future to the Seagulls.
Poyet said: "I am flattered to be linked to the job but I have signed a contract here until the end of the next season. At the very least I will honour that but I hope to be here much, much longer. This is an ambitious club which is moving in the right direction."
He added: "One day in the future it would be fantastic to be considered for a role with the national team, who knows? But for now I have a job to do here at Brighton and my aim is to achieve success here."
