Brighton boss Potter satisfied after Crystal Palace draw

Brighton boss Graham Potter was satisfied with their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

An own goal by Joachim Andersen with three minutes to go cancelled out Conor Gallagher's opener but Pascal Gross missed a penalty, Neal Maupay had a goal disallowed and Jakub Moder hit the bar.

“The feeling overall is of pride in terms of our performance," said Potter. “I thought we were fantastic, especially in the first half when I don't think we could have been any more dominant. It was one of our best home performances this season.

“The character of the team to recover from the setback of missing a penalty and then going a goal down was really pleasing. It is hard to keep going but our reaction was great and the fans helped, they were brilliant."

Potter had no complaints about the disallowed goal which came moments after Pascal Gross's penalty was saved by Jack Butland.

“We knew Crystal Palace would come back in the second half but overall we were the better team and it was good to get something from the performance," added Potter. “We created chances, we had great intensity and personality and I can't be anything but pleased. The boys gave everything."
