Brighton boss Graham Potter hailed his players after a stunning 3-0 win against Newcastle.
Goals either side of half-time from Leandro Trossard and Danny Welbeck put Albion in control and top scorer Neal Maupay added a third midway through the second half.
Potter remarked, “Last time we were here we were disappointed with our second-half performance, but the response from the players has been fantastic. Quality, courage, attitude, everything you want. We survived a moment when they hit the post, but apart from that we deserved to win.
“All first half we were really good - alive, focused, our reactions when we lost the ball, our personality on the pitch. The only concern was that it was 0-0. The only thing missing was the goal to show the dominance we had in that first half. Thankfully we got it in the end.
“Scoring goals is the name of the game. Our performances in between the boxes have been really good, we've just been a bit short in the boxes. The game becomes a bit easier when you score. The second and third goals were really important for us.
“We just have to recover, analyse the game and see where we can improve. Our performances here have been quite good but we haven't got the results. The margins in the league are so small that you have to keep looking at how you're going to get over the line."
