Brighton boss Graham Potter was frustrated after their FA Cup defeat to Leicester City.
Kelechi Iheanacho was left unmarked to head the only goal from close range at the King Power Stadium and book Leicester's place in the quarter-finals as they edged a tight contest 1-0.
"It's a sore one to lose so late because I thought we put a lot into the game," Potter told the club's website.
"The goal is disappointing. We weren't quite switched on, didn't pick up and didn't have enough cover at the far post.
"But I thought other than that it was a strong performance from us. A lot of players who haven't had many minutes got an opportunity and it was a game of few chances. I thought the teams cancelled each other out for long spells."
Potter gave first-team debuts to Polish pair Michal Karbownik and Jakub Moder and he was impressed with their contributions.
"I was delighted for them. They haven't played much football in recent weeks but they did a lot of things well and affected the game. Quite a few players got important minutes and that was good.
"The boys are disappointed that we're out of the FA Cup but we will recover now and go again on Saturday in the Premier League against Aston Villa."
