Brighton boss Graham Potter is being discussed inside Tottenham.
Spurs are on the lookout for a new manager in the wake of their decision to sack Jose Mourinho.
The Daily Mail says technical performance director Steve Hitchen has recommended the appointment of Potter to chairman Daniel Levy behind the scenes in north London.
It's claimed that there are others at Tottenham who admire the Englishman, whose side are 10 points above the relegation zone with just four matches to go.
Yet Hitchen's voice is particularly loud within the corridors of power, with his list going straight to Levy himself.
And he reportedly thinks Tottenham should go for a young, forward-thinking coach at the current moment in time.
Levy, for his part, is said to believe Spurs are capable of getting the very best in the game.
