Brighton boss Chris Hughton has praised owner Tony Bloom for his support in the summer market.
Hughton was delighted with their transfer campaign, with Brighton among the busiest during the window.
He said, “The owner of this football club has been excellent and if I look at what the club has spent this summer, it's a sign of the times.
“We are a club who have broken our transfer record quite a few times, but we had a fair way down to go up from.
“You see it a lot now with teams that come up, they spend big and that's because of the necessity of staying in this division – we have a chairman who's invested heavily in this club and we're very thankful for that."
