Brighton boss Chris Hughton is delighted to be in the FA Cup quarterfinals after victory over Derby.

Albion have ten days until their next fixture — Leicester City in the Premier League — and Hughton believes their FA Cup victory will give the squad a boost leading into their trip to the King Power Stadium.

Hughton said, “It gives us a big lift. We've had a difficult time in the Premier League, going from a reasonably comfortable position, seven points clear of the relegation zone — although we never saw it like that.

“There have been some poor results and an inability to finish games off, which has seen us drop a little bit and the table has become a little tighter.

“We'll need all the positivity we can get from today, and all of the quality and competitiveness from the group of players that we've got."
