Brighton boss Hughton expects quiet January market

Brighton boss Chris Hughton expects a quiet January market.

The Seagulls signed Jurgen Locadia for a club-record fee of £14.1m nearly a year ago, but the striker scored for the first time since February in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Boxing Day.

Ahead of facing Everton, Hughton said: “Locadia started slow because of injury and perhaps Glenn (Murray)'s form. But he's now very much playing a part in the squad.

"I don't expect us to do too much business. We've got some players that might possibly go out on loan, mostly younger players.

"But certainly as regards coming in, I don't expect us to be busy."
