Brighton boss Chris Hughton is delighted for Lewis Dunk over his England breakthrough.
Hughton praised Dunk, who made his England debut in the 3-0 win over USA.
“It was nothing short of what I expected. He showed a lot of composure. There would have been more testing games for him but for him the most important thing was the reason why he played.
“He played because of the level that he has now got to. He has reached a new level of maturity and you only reach that by playing how he has.
“He is in a position now where there are some players who have been around the England squad for a long-term and are at the latter end of their career.
“I am really delighted for him and he thoroughly deserved it."
