Brighton boss Chris Hughton was delighted with Yves Bissouma's performance for their 1-1 draw with friendly opponents Birmingham City.
Sub Bissouma's free-kick in injury time from just outside the box cancelled out Maikel Kieftenbeld's stunning first half strike for Garry Monk's Birmingham at St Andrew's.
Hughton said of Bissouma's effort: "It was a fabulous goal. He's a different type of midfielder to what we have, one that certainly wants to break forward and that's what we wanted.
"He's young, he's still got a lot of learning to do. He's got to get used to the system here, but he is a very good acquisition for us."
Bissuoma's fellow new signings Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Florin Andone were not involved in Albion's penultimate away friendly.
