Brighton boss Chris Hughton believes that Nathaniel Clyne will be a very good signing for Bournemouth.

After the two teams faced off in the FA Cup and Brighton emerged victorious, Hughton spoke about the English full back.

He admits that he was surprised to see him in the line-up, but only had good things to say about Clyne.

Hughton said to reporters after the game: "Clyne is a very good fit for this team and they have done well to get him.

"He is already a top player and has been out for a good while with injury.

"This is a player who was an England international.

"Probably the only thing which stopped that being the case was an injury which kept him out for a while and a couple of other very good right-backs then came through.

"I imagine he would enjoy playing in this team given the way the team play and I think it's a very good signing for them.

"They have an outstanding manager and a way of playing and they have recruited really well over the years."
