Brighton have entered into contract negotiations with promising youngster Aaron Connolly.

The 20-year-old only signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal last January.

But in a season in which he has become a full Republic of Ireland international, Brighton want to bolster his wages.

Albion want to offer £20,000 per week, but Connolly's camp want more, according to the Irish Independent.

Both sides are hopeful a deal will be concluded, however.
