Brighton attacker Mac Allister: Scaloni had b***s to tell me truth

Brighton attacker Alexis Mac Allister has hailed the impact of Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni on his career.

The pair came together to win the World Cup in December.

The Argentina attacker said, "After a while I had the opportunity to talk to him and he told me that although he had told me earlier that he wanted to call me up, he hadn't seen me well.

"He thought I wasn't in the best shape and ended up shutting me out. Maybe it was a not so good moment, but at the same time it helped me a lot knowing that I had to be one hundred percent. I always highlighted his human side more than anything else.

"In this profession, telling the truth is something very important and, again, he approached me and had the b***s to tell me the truth. I always stressed that part of him. After, of course, I am very grateful to him for the trust he has always given me on the pitch."
