Brighton approach RB Leipzig midfielder Amadou Haidara

Brighton are interested in RB Leipzig midfielder Amadou Haidara.

The Guardian says Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi is a fan of Haidara and eager to bring him to Falmer stadium before the winter market shuts.

The former Salzburg midfielder, however, has rejected the interest as he doesn't want to leave the German club midseason.

The Malian arrived in Germany in 2019 and has a contract until 30 June 2025.

It's been suggested Haidara is viewed at Brighton as a replacement for unsettled midfielder Moises Caicedo.
