Brighton ahead of nine clubs to sign Genk winger Trossard

Brighton are at the head of the queue to sign Leandro Trossard from Genk.

The wideman is a hot property in the summer transfer window, with up to NINE clubs chasing his signature.

However, The Argus reports that Brighton are at the head of that list of clubs, as they look to build on the impending transfer of Matt Clarke from Portsmouth.

It may take a club record fee to convince Genk to sell Trossard, given the likes of Borussia Monchengladbach and Arsenal are also interested in his signature.

Trossard netted 14 league goals for Genk last season, twice as many as he managed the previous year.

The 24-year-old is seen by Albion boss Graham Potter as the ideal man to add width and creativity to his attack next season.
