Bridge lined up for Man City appearance

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has confirmed that Wayne Bridge is in line to make his comeback for City at Hull on Saturday. Bridge has been out for two months after injuring his knee against former club Chelsea, since when he has been caught up in the allegations about England captain John Terry's private life.

The Italian has spoken with the 29-year-old left-back about his return but feels Bridge is in the right state of mind to play and intends to include him at the KC Stadium.

"Wayne can play on Saturday," said Mancini.

"He has been working with us for 10 days now and there are no problems."

Mancini is trying to avoid discussion of Bridge's personal situation for fear of dragging the matter out longer than necessary.

"The private side is not important," said Mancini.

"He has been working very well on the pitch. That is what is important.

"He is a fantastic man and a fantastic player."
