Chelsea defender Jake Clarke-Salter is interesting Brest.

The defender spent last season on loan at Birmingham City, having previously spent time with Vitesse Arnhem, Sunderland and Bristol Rovers, and hasn't featured for Chelsea's first-team since a League Cup outing against Nottingham Forest in September 2017.

Forest had looked to be leading the way in the chase for the 22-year-old, but they may now be beaten to the punch by French top-flight side Brest.

Football Insider says the Ligue 1 outfit are “in talks" to sign Clarke-Salter on a year's loan, after conceding eight goals in their first four league matches of the new season.
