Manchester City legend Yaya Toure has seen a move to Brest fall through.
Brest sports director Gregory Lorenzi has confirmed they were considering recruiting the Ivorian midfielder.
"Yaya Touré was not necessarily what we were looking for. I discussed it with people who thought the idea was interesting because more people would talk about Brest," he told Telefoot.
"But with my coach in mind, I wondered if it would be easy to handle such a player in the locker room.
"With regard to the other players, it could have been complicated, so we preferred not to pursue it."
