Brescia signing Alessandro Diamanti says he had no option but to leave West Ham United last week.
Diamanti admits that the uncertainty in the dressing room convinced him that it was time to return to his homeland, plus the fact that Avram Grant told him that he would not be a first-team regular.
"Since I signed, West Ham have had financial problems. During the season, no one from the club explained to us what was going on," he said in the News of the World.
"There was a general uncertainty and in the dressing room, we didn't know what to expect.
"No one pushed me out but when I met the new coach Avram Grant, he didn't tell me anything but I understood wouldn't have been a regular in the team.
"When I realised that, I asked my agent to move me as quickly as possible.
"Brescia was my best option. It took a lot to sign for them because West Ham had spent a lot of money on me but I don't have any regrets."
