Sheffield Wednesday youngster Bailey Cadamarteri is a target for Brentford.
The Sun says the Owls remain eager to thrash out a deal with the 17-year-old forward for his first professional contract.
But the Bees are eyeing a summer swoop for Cadamarteri following his redhot form in Wednesday's youth set up.
His performances for Wednesday's U18s has seen rise through the ranks into the U23 squad and even train with Darren Moore's first team.
Cadamarteri, who has one year left on his Owls scholarship, is also being monitored by West Ham and has been earmarked for the England youth setup.
The teenager, who is the son of former Everton striker Danny Cadamarteri, has been at Hillsborough since he was eight.
