Brentford rival Benfica for Liverpool midfielder Wilson

Liverpool are locked in talks over the sale of Harry Wilson to Benfica.

The Athletic reports Liverpool are expecting a second approach from Benfica for Wales star Wilson.

Talks between the clubs broke down over the £13million asking price, but the Reds anticipate that the Portuguese club will come back to the negotiating table.

Wilson spent last season on loan at Cardiff City, and is currently with the Welsh squad at Euro 2020.

Premier League new boys Brentford and recently relegated West Brom have also shown interest in the winger.

Swansea boss Steve Cooper tried to sign Wilson last season - and could do so again after being linked with the manager's job at Fulham.
