Brentford midfielder Josh McEachran says he's enjoying his football again.

The former Chelsea starlet believes he's returning to his best form at the Championship outfit.

And he revealed at 16 he turned down a five-year contract offer from Real Madrid.

"It was just before my seventeenth birthday. I was about to sign a permanent contract with Chelsea when my agent asked: 'Do you want to fly to Real Madrid with your family? They have a five-year contract for you'.

"'Wow', I thought. But I was a big Chelsea fan and I thought I was very close to breaking through. In retrospect, I might have done things differently, but then I thought I would break out at Chelsea.

"I do regret that decision a bit."
