Brentford midfielder Eriksen accepts Denmark subs role - for now

Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen accepts starting from the bench for Denmark's friendly against Holland.

Eriksen will take the pitch, however, marking the first time he's played for Denmark since his cardiac arrest during last summer's Euros.

On coach Kasper Hjulmand's selection, Eriksen smiled: "I must have just convinced him of that. I do not mind.

"No, he has to. I'm part of the team and the national coach definitely decides the lineup. It's entirely up to him to decide if I start inside or out. I'm just happy to be a part of it.

"Yes, I am 100 percent.

"I have been to Amsterdam a few times during the autumn, so there is nothing I have not seen before nor from before. I know the stadium and the city for that matter really well, so it will be very special."
