Brentford have failed with a loan move for Everton striker Conor McAleny.

McAleny is back to fitness after a long spell on the sidelines and Brentford had hoped to re-sign the Liverpool-born youngster before the loan window closes on Thursday.

But Get West London understand the deal to bring the attacker back to TW8 is now dead in the water.
