Brentford captain Pontus Jansson is hopeful of Christian Eriksen signing a new deal and staying next season.
Jansson says he does not know how to persuade Eriksen, but he will try.
The Sweden defender said, "He had the respect of us all when he came, because we know what he has accomplished earlier in his career. He is a world-class player, and he has proven that on the pitch.
"I'm just glad he's here, and hopefully he's staying here for many years. He has many Danish friends here, and so did Thomas and our assistant coach Brian, who are also Danes.
"It almost feels like I play in a Danish club. I also think these things mean something to him when he has to decide his future. He smiles every day and it seems like he is in a great place in life where he enjoys football.
"I do not know how I can persuade him to stay, but he knows that everyone wants him to stay. Let's see what decision he makes."
