Brentford boss Thomas Frank is stunned by Mykhaylo Mudryk's €100m move to Chelsea.
The Bees had a £26m offer for the Ukraine winger accepted by Shakhar last summer, only for Mudryk to reject the move.
"From the outside, I think Mudryk is a really good player, but 100 million pounds? That's a lot of money," said Frank.
"He has shown signs of great potential, but he must show some more. It is an expression of prices in these times, I think they are crazy.
"In the transfer market, it works so that if there is a bidding war, the price will rise and you will pay too much.
"Right now he looks like a very expensive player, but if he has torn the Premier League up in two years, then no one will discuss it anymore."
