Brentford are close to striking a deal for Bologna fullback Aaron Hickey.

Il Resto del Carlino says a £14m deal to sign Hickey has been agreed between Brentford and Bologna.

The Scottish left-back was touted as a big target for Arsenal but the Bees are moving forward with their interest.

A medical is planned for next week.

Hickey joined Bologna last year from Scottish Premiership Hearts.
