Bournemouth have secured the signature of Chris Mepham from Brentford.
Sky Sports reports that a £12 million fee was agreed and the player has signed a long term contract at the Premier League club.
The centre-back is the third signing for the Cherries this winter, after Nathaniel Clyne and Dominic Solanke.
The 21-year-old went to Brentford in 2016 from Chelsea, appearing in 43 games for the side.
He will now get a chance to impress in the Premier League and earn a starting spot in Eddie Howe's team.
