Brazil waives compo fee as Arsenal talks for Edu reach 'advanced stage'

Arsenal are close to appointing Edu as their new technical director.

The former Gunners midfielder is currently working as a general co-ordinator with Brazil at Copa America.

However, talks to get Edu back in north London have now reached an 'advanced stage'.

The Daily Mail says the Brazil Football Federation have agreed to waive a £6million compensation fee.

Given Arsenal's tight finances, the news has dramatically improved their chances of ending their long search for a technical director.
