Brazil manager Luis Felipe Scolari has been impressed with the form of David Luiz in midfield for Chelsea.
Having named the 25 year old in his squad to take on England at Wembley next month, 'Big Phil' may be tempted to utilise Luiz in a similar position due to the absence of both Lucas Leiva and Sandro through injury.
"David Luiz has played most of his games since the Club World Cup as a defensive midfielder," he said. "He has this ability and it gives us an alternative. I think it's a good chance to try this during the game but we won't start like this."
He went on to explain that limited preparation time meant playing the defender in a sweeper type role would remain a back-up plan at this point in time. "To sort this, we need time for training to work on the fine details of positioning. For now, it is an alternative for during the games, but we won't start like that."
