Titus Bramble has welcomed new signing Asamoah Gyan to Sunderland.
Bramble feels the signs are positive as he thought Gyan was one of the best strikers on show at the World Cup in South Africa, despite playing on his own up front for Ghana.
He told The Journal: "I've played with Darren a lot because we were at Ipswich together a long time ago and he is just a natural goalscorer.
"When he stepped up to take that penalty against Manchester City last weekend I just knew it was going to go in.
"Benty has scored goals everywhere he has been and he had a fantastic first season here. He has started well again this year as well and he scares defenders.
"He is confident in front of goal and he has that knack of being in the right place at the right time that you can't coach people."
