Spain enjoyed a 1-0 win over Bosnia with Brais Mendez scoring on debut.

There were debuts galore in Luis Enrique's final game of 2018 with Mendez, one of the four debutants, scoring in the second half to seal victory for Spain at Estdaio de Gran Canaria on Sunday night.

The news of England's victory over Croatia, which knocked Spain out of the Nations League, saw the win become a non-issue. The game was a tame affair in comparison to the thriller in Zagrab on Thursday night against Croatia, which Spain lost 3-2.

The winning goal came when Real Madrid Isco's shot was saved and Celta Vigo midfielder Mendez followed it in to slot home with 15 to play.
