It appears Leicester City were refusing to do business with West Ham United vice-chair Karren Brady in the Islam Slimani transfer.
There were quite a few reports suggesting Slimani was on his way to West Ham in the January transfer window.
But a deadline day move was called off because Leicester flat-out refused to negotiate with Brady.
It seems the issue stems from comments Brady made in a newspaper column in the recent past, where she was scathing about the decision from Leicester to sack manager Claudio Ranieri less than a season after he helped them win the Premier League.
West Ham have apologised for the incident, but it seems to have scuppered this transfer for good.
