Bradford still in the market for new striker

Bradford boss Peter Taylor is still on the lookout for a new striker. Taylor was in the loan market for a forward and was reported to be close to drafting in Mike Grella from Leeds, who agreed to the move only for the American to turn it down.

The Bantams did bolster their squad last week with the arrival of midfielder Lee Hendrie, but Taylor, who used defender Luke Oliver in attack against Gillingham at the weekend, still wants a forward.

"The one we went for is not going to happen, but I'm still looking," Taylor told the club's official website.

"Before Lee (Hendrie) got here, the board said we could go for him and one other. That's the plan, though I'm hoping that Michael Flynn and James (Hanson) aren't too far away."
