IF Brommapojkarna sports chief Peter Kisfaludy admits Barcelona are keen on Jardell Kanga.
At 15, Kanga has become the youngest player to sign a pro deal with BP. The youngster has already trialled with Brighton, which enjoy strong roots with Sweden, along with Holland's Feyenoord.
Kisfaludy admits securing Kanga to a pro contract was done knowing there's major interest arriving from across Europe for the youngster. However, he is adamant there is a confidence inside BP that Kanga will make his first team debut with them.
Kisfaludy told Fotbolldirect.se via fotbolltransfers.com: "Jardell has previously trialled with Brighton and Feyenoord. Now I hear that Barcelona are interested in taking him.
"If you are 15 years old and Barcelona calls, we can not say no.
"Of course, our players should get such an opportunity. We see it as an opportunity for a good experience.
"Jardell is a super talent but the step from junior to senior is the most difficult and we have to be patient. But it is clear that he is one of the bigger talents we have had in BP for a long time."
Brighton's interest is no surprise given their links with Swedish football. Seagulls manger Graham Potter enjoyed eight years in charge of Ostersund before moving to Swansea City in 2018. Young Swedes Viktor Gyorkeres and Peter Gwargis are also on the books.
Meanwhile, interestingly a member of Barca coach Ronald Koeman's staff is Swedish great and former Blaugrana striker Henrik Larsson.
