Australia U20 international Oliver Bozanic has signed a new deal with Championship club Reading. The former Central Coast Mariners midfielder inked a one-year deal with the Royals and is now hoping to force his way into the first team under new boss Brendan Rodgers.

"This new contract is really great," he told the club's official website.

"I am very excited, especially with a new manager coming in.

"These are exciting times and I can't wait for the season to start.

"We all met the new manager on Monday. He's a very nice manager, very straightforward and I'm excited to work with him.

"Hopefully I will be able to get a chance and he seems like a more technical manager."
