Boyd at it again as Kilmarnock come from behind to hold Ross County

Kris Boyd was again the star of the show for Kilmarnock as they came from behind to force a 2-2 draw with ten-man Ross County on the weekend.

Killie's star striker grabbed his 14th and 15th goals of the Scottish Premier League season, both in the second half, with the eventual equaliser coming in injury-time.

After the match, Killie boss Allan Johnston was quick to praise the former Rangers, Middlesbrough and Portland Timbers striker who again was a key contributor for the Ayrshire club.

"Overall it was a great point for us after being two goals down," the Kilmarnock manager said.

"The boys showed tremendous character or desire especially, after the game against Celtic in midweek (4-0 loss). We dominated the second half and really deserved at least a draw.

"It was two great goals from Kris Boyd and he was the quickest to react and put his face in where it hurts for the second.

"He is a top-quality striker and his goals show how much he means to us."

The draw saw Killie remain eighth on the SPL table with 26 points as the Staggies stayed 10th on 22 points.
