Emmerson Boyce was delighted to be back in action for Wigan Athletic in their draw with Sunderland.
Boyce, who has played much of his Latics career at centre-back, admits he is just happy to be in the starting side.
"I just try and play the best I can, wherever the manager chooses to play me," he said.
"Obviously the gaffer's brought Ronnie in, which has increased the competition for places, so I know I've got to play well every week to keep my position."
