Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie is proud to be playing at Premier League level.
Ritchie has experienced all the divisions in the Football League, including League Two.
He told the People: “I've taken a little bit of a detour, the scenic route, but I wouldn't change it for anything because I feel I'm a stronger person for it.
“The best thing I've done in my career was go to Dagenham and Redbridge on loan while I was at Portsmouth. You don't realise how good you've got it until you go to those levels.
“I was 17, played 37 games in League Two, and to get that experience at that young age was priceless and a huge moment in my career.
“Now there is absolutely a sense that I'm not going to let it slip away again and not just myself – as a football club we are determined to stay here."
