Bournemouth to hand O'Neil extended contract and permanent manager post

Bournemouth are ready to deal in Gary O'Neil as permanent manager.

After impressing in his caretaker role, O'Neil has done enough to win a long-term deal.

Sky Sports says O'Neil will sign a contract to the summer of 2024.

The only 39-year-old Englishman has been in charge of Bournemouth for 12 games after stepping in for the sacked Scott Parker.

With the Cherries moving up the table, O'Neil will be handed new terms.
