Departing AS Monaco striker Dimitar Berbatov says he wants to return to England.

The former Manchester United and Tottenham ace has been linked with Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.

The 34-year-old was released by Ligue 1 club Monaco at the end of last season and is seeking a new side.

"I spent a long time in England and I keep very good memories," he said.

"Everyone is watching the English championship... the Premier League, and I'll be delighted to return."
