Darryl Flahavan, whose previous clubs include Southampton, Southend, Crystal Palace and Portsmouth, has signed a one-year deal with Bournemouth, with the option of another year. Flahavan, who trained with the Cherries during 2010, told the club`s official website: "I was fortunate that when I was at Crystal Palace, I was based in the area and came here to train and I got to know a lot of the people at the club.
"Bournemouth is a club I have always looked out for because I got to know a lot of the lads when I trained here. I have kept an eye out for what has gone on here and it is great the way the club has rocketed from nearly going out of business to the verge of the Championship.
"It is a club going in the right direction and I am sure the manager is going to keep pushing us on to achieve success in the forthcoming season."
