A young Bournemouth fan is set to receive a new jersey after the one thrown to him by Cherries player Adam Smith was snatched by an adult.

Lewis Freestone was reportedly 'distraught' after missing out on Smith's match-worn jersey following Bournemouth's 2-0 loss to Southampton at St Mary's on Sunday.

Lewis' mother Torie took to social media to vent her anger at the actions of the adult jersey snatcher, leading to Smith hearing about the incident and arranging to make sure 12-year-old Lewis received another jersey.
