Bournemouth have made a move for Real Madrid defender Javi Sanchez.

The 21 year-old has been a big positive in a battling campaign for Real this season.

AS says offers are arriving for Sanchez, with Bournemouth, Real Valladolid and Real Sociedad all in contact.

The Cherries are in the market for a young centre-half and have also made enquiries after Brentford stopper Chris Mepham.

Sanchez has a contract to 2022 at Real and coach Santiago Solari will be reluctant to lose him given the latest injury setback to befall Jesus Vallejo.
