Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter: I've achieved nothing...

Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter refuses to bask in his late season achievements.

Arter has won promotion with the Cherries and is due to make his Republic of Ireland debut against England today.

He told the Bournemouth Echo: "It's all well and good having been promoted and called up but the next challenges are going to be the hardest ones.

"I haven't made an appearance in the Premier League or won a full cap for the Republic of Ireland. Those are my aims and I am under no illusions that I need to prove myself at the top level for both club and country.

"If selected, I will need to take my chance in the Premier League and on the international stage. I wouldn't say it feels any different being with Ireland now I am playing for a club in the Premier League.

"You would imagine a player who is excelling in the top division would get more opportunities than someone who is doing well in the Championship. Ultimately though, if you get the chance and don't take it, the players behind you will take the shirt off you."
