Bournemouth matchwinner Billing: Victory over Liverpool came from unity

Bournemouth matchwinner Philip Billing was full of pride after victory over Liverpool.

Billing struck the only goal of the game in Saturday's early kickoff.

"We had to be diligent today," he said.

"Last weekend was heartbreak for everybody and our mission today was to go in and deliver the same. Be diligent, be compact and work for each other as we've done loads of times this season. Today it paid off and the support was brilliant as well.

"I've been working at getting into the box but shout out to Dango as well, I thought he was terrific and since he's come here, he's been a danger for us. He's added pace and quality up front.

"That's what we've been working on in training, get him down the line, getting crosses in and just make sure me and Dom and the rest of the boys are in the box. It took a bit of a deflection but it got there in the end."

On belief they can stay up, he added: "The belief has always been there. Obviously, we've had too many disappointing defeats where we've been in front and thrown it away. Looking at the whole season, we're doing good.

"It's not like we're playing bad football. We're playing well, working hard and looking good. It's just the result and the final product has been the problem."
