Bournemouth manager Scott Parker is convinced Dominic Solanke has all the attributes to succeed as an "all-round nine".
The former Chelsea and Liverpool striker has finally settled in senior football with the Cherries, having hit six goals in nine Championship appearances this season.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday's trip to Peterborough, Parker told the Daily Echo: "Yeah I'm really delighted with Dom, I've said many times I think he's an all-round nine.
"He's someone who has got everything in his game as a modern day number nine really, a modern day number nine is not just about scoring goals and I know that sounds crazy, for a large part, of course it is.
"It's a big part of the job putting the ball in the net, that's why you have to pay them the most as it's the hardest thing to do in the modern game.
"But there's a large part of how you want to set up your team and how you want your team to be, and if you want your team to be on the front foot, good pressure in the early stages of the game.
"To do that you need a nine who is capable of doing that, wanting to do that, we've got that with Dom really so I've been very pleased with him."
