Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has backed the FA's changes to the suspension rules.
The FA has changed the laws so that when a player receives a yellow card in the FA Cup or Carabao Cup, it will not carry over to the Premier League. However, red-cards will cross over competitions.
Howe told the Daily Echo: "I think it is a good rule and making bookings competition-specific is a good idea.
"It makes sense both ways so if you get booked in a cup, it doesn't harm you in the Premier League."
