Bournemouth keeper Begovic wants to fight for Bosnia place

Asmir Begovic hasn't given up on his place in Bosnia and Herzegovina national team despite not being included in the squad for the upcoming games.

Bosnia will face Northern Ireland and Austria in the UEFA Nations League on September 8 and 11, and the Bournemouth keeper hasn't received a call-up from head coach Robert Prosinečki.

"I wasn't in the squad this time," Begovic told the Daily Echo.

"I'll keep working hard and see what happens and, hopefully, get called up for the next games.

"I'd like to keep playing while I feel good but these are the manager's choices and that's just the way it goes.

"I've had a good nine or 10 years. The manager has his reasons for what he wants to do and that's just the way football goes. I will keep working hard, keep playing for my club and see what happens."

The Bosnian has 61 caps for his country so far.
